 Since 2008 Cambium has worked exclusively in the not-for-profit sector serving clients such as the Equalities and Human Rights Commission Scotland, Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People, WWF, Oxfam Scotland, Save the Children, Citizens Advice Scotland and others.

We have extensive experience in research, analysis, policy development and campaigns for such clients in the fields of energy, social and environmental justice, poverty, health, equalities and human rights.

Cambium is run by its Director Malcolm Sayers and utilises the experience and specialisms of a wide range of associates to bring together project teams to deliver for clients.

Malcolm Sayers, Director
MA (Hons) Economic & Social History, Dip. Labour Studies.

Malcolm brings a deep understanding of the interaction of research, policy development and the practicalities of delivering change. Since 2000 he has ran the public affairs functions of several organisations including Friends of the Earth Scotland, the Association for the Conservation of Energy and energywatch, strategically delivering policy, research and campaigns work focussed on delivering change.

Having co-founded Cambium in 2008 he has project managed, or was central to the delivery of, all the projects Cambium have carried out in the past 8 years. He has extensive experience in research and policy development.

Prior to this Malcolm gained a wide variety of experience in his activities as a trade union representative, welfare rights advisor and in anti-poverty work.

His main strengths lie in building strategic approaches to delivering change, policy analysis and development and producing persuasive, authoritative and accessible reports.
